Well apparently there are people who helped themselves to electronics etc. Those are the kind of people who should be targetted for slammer. As redfish said earlier - many people don't leave their homes in wake of natural calamities since they fear looting in the aftermath.

I was trying to point the inconsistency in earlier pictures and I have nothing but heart felt compassion for people in both pictures.

Imagine you're a Republican U.S. Senator or Rep. What does Bush do for your future in politics?

"Some have talked about shooting head first. I really wonder where our humanity is when I read this."

I wouldn't harm a kid who was looting, I think a lot of us go through a stage where we fool around with shoplifting. When I was 9 or so me and my friend used to swipe Hot Wheels from the local department store, until we came to realize it was wrong and stopped doing it.

Older teenagers and adults I would be in favor of shooting in the head.

When I was a kid and a hurricane came near, my dad would spend the night at his business premises armed with a gun. I did the same at my business premises before the hurricanes got really bad and I decided it was not worth it.

By looting these people put my dad's life at risk, and my life at risk (in addition to causing me a very bad night's sleep on the floor). Imo, they deserve to die. They probably caused dozens of deaths because people were too scared to evacuate due to the fear of being looted.

If you need food, fine. Take it and leave some cash or at least a note telling the owner you will pay him when you get the chance. But do NOT treat a disaster as a free-for-all ... imo if you do that you deserve a quick death.
