I have been watching the devastation also and I have bookmarked to go every day and click to feed the animals in La. Many of those who fled to our city (Houston)also brought their animals with them. One of our major hotels is allowing them to stay in the hotel with no pet deposit and have read the lobby looks like a pet shelter. I and many applaud them for this convenience to pets. Shelters are being set up also to house animals for the owners close to hotels to keep them safe until they are allowed to return home. Also setting up pet adoptions for those that have decided it would be better to leave them here for better homes than they will be able to offer them by taking them home again.

Our prayers are with all our near State neighbors as they suffer through this tragedy.
