I really don't want to hear any more crap about how they deserve it. Hell John, wasn't this Cat5 going into New Orleans a statistically insignificant event? Hurricanes are just a pimple on our ass; they don't bother me at all. Nothing to get excited over right? A few hundred dead in Louisiana and Mississippi, after all, a few thousand dead in NewYork wasn't a big deal either was it?

I don't know what to say. New Orleans is New Orleans. There is that guy, and there are 100 others that just can't get out, because they are poor. And even that guy has a soul. Judge these people if you want, one better than the other. Others will judge the city as a whole. I really don't want to hear any more crap about how they deserve it. This is where you and I disagree. You are given more than adequate warning. This guy had the capability of leaving. He chose not to....blaming the authorities on not making it clear enough the extent of the danger. Hell, I am in the PNW and knew how dangerous it was. This guy didn't leave because he thought he knew better. Isn't that the same kind of arrogance that gets people into messes? Now people's lives may be put into danger getting him out. I just can't feel sorry for someone like that. I could understand if he had a few kids and a wife etc. but he was all alone. And one last thing..........even if the guy was down to his last $50; why play russian rouletter with your life? ted
