I saw a video clip of Bourbon street and though there is damage, it did not look as terrible as other areas. Brick fell off the fronts of building and debris was all over the streets. Lots of glass from hotel windows blown out, but not the structural damage as other areas. Saw a woman getting ready to take one of the six dogs in her home out for a walk and looked pretty OK there.

This major event will be the talk for maybe many years to come. I think about all the beautiful antiques that will be lost forever. The huge homes on the beaches of Mississippi may be forever lost also. I was there many years ago and still have the images of them in my mind. Have a piece of slate at our bay home from an old home there from their last horrific storm with a sailboat sketched in it. Makes me want to bring it home and pack it away to preserve its history.
