I had hoped after 9/11 and the Beslen School disaster, the US and Russia would get together on some oil/energy issues.

But it looks like Russia and China are building that alliance.

Time to pull out of the UN?

When there is a large scale disaster on U.S. soil, no other country helps the U.S, including the Muslim countries we just finished helping out.

I thought the richer countries help the poorer countries with money, food and clothing during a disaster but that the richer countries only help each other by sending specialized technical assistance like the Brits did for Russia when that small Russian sub went down recently or like we did for the Brits when they needed certain genetic testing after the London bombings or like when the West has forest fires and the Canadians and other nations send their fire fighters?

I also thought Christians were taught not to worry about how much others are giving but to give willingly and that it will come back many fold.

I was wondering who would be the first to start complaining but it seems that Neil Cavuto beat you to it yesterday. Before the extent of the disaster is even known he was whining about the lack of foreign aid. It will come. We (Canada) have already offered many things and more will come but it didn't look so devastating at first. Most don't remember but the tsunami aid was slow in developing initially because people did not realise the extent of the damage until about 24 hours or more had passed. It is better to lead by example than to expect something in return.

Just out of curiosity, what would you suggest these destitute countries supply to the US?
