Actually, the narrow focus is yours.


You are certainly free to expand the focus. However that isn't what you did. You didn't say that my point was unimportant in a large context. You said that the training of terrorists is undisturbed. I said "on this narrowly focused issue" you are either ignorant or delusional, to avoid making a statement claiming that you where more generally ignorant or delusional, not to assert that you had to keep your focus narrow.

Its not a matter of subtle nuances. The training is heavily disturbed. Not to the point where it doesn't happen. Certainly terrorists are a big problem in Iraq. That would be the more widely focused response you could reasonably make, but to argue that they are essentially undisturbed is nonsensical.
