Thanks for the kind words. I am very fortunate to have a great support system, a place to stay, stability, etc. My main concern, which is minuscule compared to the difficulties faced by others, is to somehow find a way to get my son to a school so tht he doesn't miss out on his education. I'll be OK, others won't. It's them I worry about. I don't know yet about my home. It was still dry at last reports. It's the looters I am concerned about. A dry, affluent and abandoned neighborhood will be a magnet for these creeps. I'd be heavily armed and waiting for them if I were there. Jindal is sharp. Someone who could have gotten the levee repair going a lot quicker and more effectively. The Governor and Sen. Mary Landrieu are dumb as bricks. Both sound like they are are on sedatives.
