Cobalt is not Blue.

With all DUE respect! You really need to find a Valium pill for the mind. You are over the top. Your true colors are showing. You are no intellectual. And you have no real grasp of the Southern mind, much less its culture.

So get a grip and go back to your law practice. We don't need your brand of pontification.

BS
Last year in Florida before the election, you guys were criticizing Bush for "getting in the way" of relief efforts after hurricane Charley I think it was. A photo-op stunt of Jeb and George passing out bottled water, meeting with some of the victims.

No wonder you guys are a shrinking minority, the "dumb" American voters who "don't get it" have got it and are smarter than you guys are...

Given the total paralysis, I fault Bush for not doing it sooner.

The size of this disaster wasn't really apparent until yesterday afternoon. Bush moblized FEMA in advance last week. I think he has moved at a good speed.

Too bad Jindal isn't governor.

CB--The storm struck Monday Morning. We all went to bed Monday night feeling just a bit better because it appeared not to have been as serious as originally thought. We all woke up yesterday, 24 hours ago, to find that the situation was much worse than it was on Monday....mostly because of the flooding. Today is a new day, and not that many hours after the storm struck.

The Pentagon (and Bush) announced yesterday Tuesday morning VERY EARLY in the morning, they were sending ships to help. People couldn't even get into the city because of the floods.

Exactly what else would you have wanted to have the President do? He can not put his finger in the leaky levees to hold them.

It is a disaster for sure, and one that each citizen in the United States will be paying for for some time, even if the government in LA has been in charge the whole time.

Surely you don't mean the Federal authorities should have taken over the State and New Orleans long time before now, and told them how to run their city and State, do you?

Shame on you Cobalt. Bush did everything humanly possible, he even took the unprecented step of declaring the area a DISASTER before the storm even arrived so that supplies could be released to be prepositioned. How could he OR ANYONE know that the few roads in would be destroyed. What could he have done? If the supplies were on hand they would have been destroyed too.
FACE IT, this is a disaster never seen before in the USA, no one could have done any better so far. Its gonna be painful, its gonna take time, lives are gonna be lost. Thats JUST THE WAY IT IS. Dont try and get POLITICAL ON THIS. jdn

Not the First time I've seen David Duke described as a "Country Club Republican" - but the first time from someone I consider rational.

Except for people like Bobby Jindal, and look what happened to him. Too dark to be elected Governor by the Country Club Republicans

Damn, that's funny and untrue, all in one package.
