Seeing the disaster from my eyes from this distance, I see that there is no race barrier in how people react....In the West, we are all just people. (Admitedly, some of us with "decidedly latte-soaked left-wing cotton between the ears") But just watching a bit of the TV coverage shows that "good people" are good people, and the color of their skin doesn't matter. There are white looters, and brown ones, and black ones. Looters are looters, no matter of the color of their skin. If I were there, I might attempt to do some sling shot practice if I saw the looting in person. *my weak attempt at a bit of humor, in an otherwise humorless day
