RDW, The more critical hospital patients are being airlifted, probably 6 to 8 at a time, to hospitals in Houston, Baton Rouge, and other places suitable to their medical needs. A Navy hospital ship, the Comfort, is due to set sail for the Gulf of Mexico. comfort.navy.mil Other military ships, suitable for housing people safely, are also on the way. - Holly

If you still haven't heard from or about your Dad, you could perhaps make a post at nola.com to try to get information about him or the hotel. It's a longshot but at least it's something. What a nightmare.
