nobody is suggesting that NO be abandoned, but to just pour trillions of dollars into creating another natural fiasco waiting to happen is the wrong thing to do...

it's one thing to be solid when a tragedy happens, quite another to blindly rebuild without fully considering if rebuilding in the same locations is prudent now or ever WAS the right thing to be doing

That trillion could have been a far smaller sum spent wisely on intelligent planning and prevention.

Too late now, but will we learn from this? I hope so.
