JDN, you are fighting a lost cause. Idealogues are not interested in having their prejudices confused by facts. All they look for is data confirming their biases and incidences which justify their preconceived notions. All other evidence is simply ignored. Idealogues are not interested in the truth of the matter. They are only interested in parading their own 'knowledge' and 'concerns for humanity' etc., and otherwise trying to make themselves look good.

Bush did everything humanly possible

No, he did not.

He went to San Diego to give a speech about VJ day, instead of going back to the White House and supervising.

A very different response than what was done after 9/11.

If they had responded to this crisis the way they responded to 9/11, they'd have done yesterday the things they are doing today.

How many people died during those 24 hours?

As Lindy says, time will tell. But everybody knows that the first hours after trauma are the most important in saving lives.
