Jagfan, yes, I heard the same. Houston is 300 miles from New Orleans. It is said that it is going to take them until Friday, day after tomorrow, to evacuate only the Superdome, which I think to be, euphemistically, a generous estimate. Pie in the sky comes to mind.

And how are they planning to get the buses and the people in the Superdome together through all that water? I have not heard any one mention that. I don't understand why they are not using boats which are designed to navigate shallow water. But then I don't have nearly the wisdom or expertise of our orange-coated experts and elected officials. </sarcasm/> - Holly
