Unbelievable -- Lorie Byrd PoliPundit.com With fellow Americans dead and dying and suffering I did not want to believe that there would be many callous and deranged enough to try to angle for political advantage. It appears that I was wrong. Evidently there are more than a few, and some of them even get paid to do it. When I saw the following quote at Right Wing News, I assumed it was from some anonymous, mentally unstable person commenting at Democratic Underground. I was wrong again. “This President is never gonna do the right thing. I think somewhere deep down inside him he takes a lot of joy about losing people, if he thinks they vote Democrat or if he thinks they’re poor, or if he thinks they’re in a blue state, whatever his reasons are not to rescue those people…” – Air America’s Randi Rhodes Brian Maloney has posted more on this, including some of the comments from Rhodes’ listeners. This stuff is disgusting and dispicable, but, after all, it is Air America. One last thought – it would never occur to me to even suggest such a thing about President Kerry if it were claimed that he did not want to save the lives of those in the Gulf because they were from Red states or the South. It gives me a little bit of insight into the way some of the unhinged think, and I find it more than a little scary. UPDATE: Ace makes a great point that “hate radio” doesn’t seem to such a big topic among those on the Left anymore.
