Yes. This is such a huge disaster......and I never thought I would ever say this......they need to let the general public know only in dribs and drabs [as opposed to all at once] so people don't freak out.

Its no longer just a regional disaster like with most disasters. The entire American economy will be affected. And we need to pray that no other hurricane of consequence hits this country until the end of the season.

It doesn't help that we don't have the most competent administration in place.

It's hard to even imagine. The death, the homelessness, the destruction of property and businesses and culture, the current efforts at rescue, the clean up, the rebuilding, what they will find when the water finally drains, restoring electricity and water and gas, allowing people to come back in, fixing the roads so they can, opening the airport...

It's just impossible to get your mind around the dimensions of this tragedy. It just goes on and on and on.
