There are over a million people who live(d) in the greater New Orleans metro area who are not going to be going back there for a long time, if ever. And that's not even counting the rest of the gulf coast region that was destroyed. The outgoing migration will be heading somewhere and that's a lot of humanity that will be seeking housing...
