Money is probably better to send than food....It would be better to fly food from a somewhat local area than fly it from long distances, fuel wise. It does just make our hearts hurt when we think of all the complications they are facing.

Carolyn, I don't drive any more that 5 miles on any given day, so gas is not as big a deal as it is to commuters.

my daughter just called in atlanta, she said they were charging over $5/gal for gasoline.....long lines waiting to fill their tanks

her boyfriend is being called to new orleans to fly helicopter rescue operations
