Thanks, paret. This is by far the best post today on this thread. It makes up for a lot of the self-serving drivel that we have had to wade through today (or ignore) from several self-proclaimed experts, pseudo-historians, and other self-serving critics of the current American scene.

They have no idea what has become of their house and their possessions, not to mention their friends, their pets, their jobs, their way of life.

I lose respect for them when they leave their pets behind.
