Do not underestimate the neocons for finding creative ways to spin the truth, bolster support, fearmonger, distract, bribe, strong-arm and threaten for the sake of prolonging our agony. In that respect, it is premature to declare that Bush is the only one who doesn't know the war is over yet, as if we can sit back and just wait for the inevitable to occur.

Sadly, the full bankruptcy of his policies may only sink in as Iraq descends into civil strife, with us trying to barter peace between warring shiites while the Kurds step slowly backward away from involvement in the rising theocracy and into endless border skirmishes with Turkey. Will all factions then turn on us? Will Bush then desparately try to protect the oil from falling into Iran's hands? Will we then find ourselves surrounded by Shiites with our backs to the ocean? What a mess that would be. But Bush is capable of it, unless the generals rebel before it gets that bad.

The point is, your declaration is a bit too facile.
