He should have urged people in the areas serviced by the gulf refineries to curtail all unnecessary driving. Rationing is inevitable and I fear violent confrontations over dwindling supplies.


i agree with you...he missed a golden opportunity to ask people to conserve gasoline.....i just posted that my daughter called and told me that stations were charging over $5/gal for gas and there were long lines

Thank God LOOP sustained little damage.

Some of the refineries are probably done for -- Chalmette, maybe Belle Chasse? Others, like Norco, probably just need power.
