I just heard that the Homeland Security got all the money..................the LA shoreline preservation funding along with money for NOLA Corp of Engineers was cut 44 %. Where was the evacuation provision and plan for the people that couldn't get out on their own?....ie; the poor people ! I watched a FOX reporter today come close to losing it when he spoke of the plight of these people being picked up and dropped off on the highway with no provisions of any kind. He had to intercede and make a police car take a family to help who had a 5 day old baby that was about to die from heat exposure...............the family had been in their attic crawl space for two days already. And we want to create Star Wars and send a man to Mars???????? Maybe we ought to settle for getting a few more national guard and some food and water into NOLA !
