When it was discovered how much money he was skimming and the Feds got after him it was revealed how much of a sham it was.
It was only then that the network fell apart.. However, there were some doing it in prisons and having some modicum of success with prisoners...

AND in my response to last post, it was a cult and to me that is a form of brain washing, right ?

That must be an interesting subculture. I was struck by three posters on this thread having been involved with this obscure little cult that I guess must have not lasted very long.

In San Francisco at the time, almost everyone I know did it
