In my view the huge increases of wealth and income of the rich compared to stagnant or falling incomes of the vast lower middle class and the poor is a recipe for trouble -- if the poor ever get the chance to vote for a populist president ala Chavez.

Jacking up the taxes back to Clinton levels will hardly impoverish the rich.
