Feces into the Mississippi won't be so bad

I was thinking more in terms of the fuel and chemicals that are in the mix. Untold numbers of vehicles leaking fuel and oil, all the gas stations in the city that are under water, and who knows what other toxic and lethal substances have been released after being submerged. If all this stuff goes down the river, what's it going to do to the delta and surrounding coastal areas?? I honestly don't know..
