I like this guy's suggestion.

Koizumi, who apparently is a bit of a cowboy, reacted to the political naysay by dissolving the Parliament -- how such a thing is possible, I can't figure -- and scheduling new elections, for Sept. 11. (I know this entry is barely literate but it is hard to write and avoid the Death by Kanji button at the same time.) I love the concept of dissolving government. America needs to do some serious dissolving.

Bush is going to tour the damage area.

White House press secretary Scott McClellan said Bush will survey the Alabama and Mississippi coast by helicopter, then go on to New Orleans. He also will tour some locations on the ground.

I wonder if the White House advance men are going to fly in supporters to wave nice at the president? Sure nobody local is. Even the NASCAR crowd are running around in their pickups knocking over car delearships.

As far as your comments on Social Fabric go, it's interesting that the new Bankruptcy laws go into effect October 17. People are too busy now staying alive to realize they're soon to be slaving for the credit card companies.

Florida's Sen Nelson has the solution. First of all he will filibuster any of what he call oil company's plans to increase oil production in the gulf....curses increase oil supplies-what will that do to efforts to return to horse and buggy transportation. Oh, and what about horse poop pollution.
