I still think of Rootie Kazootie every time I see some kid wearing his baseball cap with the bill on the side of his head. I guess they never heard of him either.

He wasn't a biggie like Howdy Doody or anything..but he had freckles all over, so my brother said I looked like him. He started calling me Rootie Kozootie, soon it was shortened and all his friends and then mine picked up on the name, and that was that...

Just plain Rudi now..
