CB, poverty can't be stopped. Some people select poverty as a lifestyle. I know some people in that category. Criminals can drag people down too. Many others would live off other people's efforts even if such confiscation is legal. "Voting themselves poor" is popular around the world. Many people think they can vote themselves better off at the expense of other people.

Right now, in the USA, politicians are whining about the price of gasoline and making threats to sellers. It's supply and demand which determines price. If people don't like the price of gasoline, they should not buy it. They should invest in supplying it if they think it's so profitable.

Politicians will exacerbate the shortages in an attempt to gain electorate support. The electorate will support politicians who steal from fuel suppliers. Fuel supplies will not be improved as a result.

It's would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.
