I have no idea -- that's why I sold my puts. I think that GM's auto operations are doomed in the long run, unless our government takes steps to equalize the playing field with foreign auto companies, e.g. by adopting national health insurance, relieving them of their crushing health benefit obligations. I think that the chances that the current government does anything about this are nil. Perhaps Kirk Kerkorian sees a way to separate the non-auto parts and sell them off before the auto part goes bankrupt.
