MulhollandDrive..........thanks for posting that. I think most people.......especially men.....literally breath the concept that it is him or me, and would rampage daily if they weren't threatened by more powerful forces. My husband and I have had this conversation so many times I've lost count. I mentioned the other day that I am constantly on the lookout for predators.......an easy way out should I be caught in a dangerous situation. And it is natural that basic instincts take over in a situation like this. Unfortunately some of those instincts are quite ugly. The men shooting at evacuation helicopters are something less than human imo. I was canning tuna yesterday and watching the crisis unfold. I honestly felt so very powerless and almost depressed. I finally had to turn it off for awhile. I can imagine that if conditions worsen.....which seems likely............many of the weaker among them will pack it in and end it all right then and there.
