Chertoff is sending in enough national guard to quadruple the normal size of the New Orleans police force. That is quadruple the force when most of New Orleans is evacuated. I figure that's something on the order of 1 cop-type-person to every 20 or so citizens. If we did that in Iraq, we'd have well over 1 million troops there instead of the 140K. Gee. Overwhelming force but only on our own citizens. I hope they bother to bring in transport, water, food and necessities instead of just guns and bullets.
