I am not saying health costs are the only problems. Just very serious problems that can potentially be solved by a national health insurance plan.

The Japanese build their NA plants in no union states and have a comparatively young work force with few health costs and almost no retiree costs (which are the bulk of the health costs for Ford, GM, and Chrysler).
