"Alicia was nothing by comparison. It did a billion in damage --"

It did a billion in Galveston alone. And no, it wasn't the same scale, didn't say it was. But there were FEMA people and supplies there in less than 24 hours.

You're out of it. NBC is doing right now an hour long special report. Its taken 4 days to get fresh water to the people in Mississippi. There are people in New Orleans who have yet to get water and food in the same period of time. Its beyond belief what is happening in New Orleans. To tell people ships are on their way........where have they been for 4 days? Why didn't they start there last Saturday. Disaster response does not mean business as usual. If you think all this is a "swift and sure footed" response, then you don't know the meaning of those two words.

The governor of Louisiana just asked for federal troops TODAY.

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (CNN) -- Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco said Thursday she has requested the mobilization of 40,000 National Guard troops to restore order and assist in relief efforts in hurricane-ravaged New Orleans.

I'm too simple to explain it to our resident geniuses with degrees...

Now I know for sure the whole disaster reponse is BS. Brown was just on NBC News. Now I think Brian Williams is a GOPer...and he's really pissed. So I think that's how they got Brown to come on just now. This afternoon Brown was very arrogant saying that FEMA was making a swift and surefooted response to the disaster.

Tonite, shedding crocodile tears, he is saying he is shocked. He said he had no idea how bad things were in New Orleans. Assuming he is not lying, do you still think FEMA is on top of the situation? I don't think so.
