AMEN pogbull AMEN

I have just spent 2+ hrs trying to explain to my 11 yr. old daughter how bad is now for the poor folk's (well off or poverty line before the storm, they are all on an even playing field now!) that suffered Kitrina's wrath. I tried to help her make sense of it all, but I doubt I even put a dent in the reality of it all.

It has left me in tears.

Regards, LEA

Bull, no one knows for sure what the future holds. But yes it is something to wonder about.

I do believe in Elliott Waves, relative to the market and perhaps to other issues that relate to our daily lives. I do not have any type of continuous theory to put it all together. But ... I've wondered more than once if the late 60's and 70's were like say wave 1 of something, and we are entering wave 3 here.

It may not be a depression either, it may be just a whole lot of things that come together in various places at various times, like NO, that will in the end result in some serious societal upheaval.

What happens for example if Ford and GM renig on their pension fund obligations, and if several other large corporations (maybe including GM and Ford) use bankrupty to rid themselves of similar burdens? A whole lot of folk would suddenly be pissed, not only about money but about bennies. The biggie is health care.

I don't know ... no one does. But I have thought there has been way too much complacency in our society, and that the pendulum will swing the other way. The response to a lot of issues that have gone down, over the last few years, has been rather muted. At least it seems that way to me.

Some of the movies that have been made over the past several years may hold some clues. Like Road Warrior.
