The real crime was no rapid response after the flooding whatsoever. Not for days, except a few brave Coast Guard choppers. Whomever's to blame, and that's mainly at the federal level, heads need to roll. Whoever was in any way lax or lazy about this helped cost hundreds or even thousands of lives.

When we saw Bush give a BS speech about Iraq the day after Katrina hit it became pretty clear that he was not on the ball and had no idea what was really happening. He was expecting someone else to handle the problem. Which means he is a mis-leader, an AWOl leader, a slacker who does not deserve a major leadership position. Cheney has been completely absent. No one has heard from him at all.

And I can't believe FEMA is telling us to send donations to Pat Robertson. That is criminal. Who did Bush put in charge of FEMA?
