As an affluent white Christian American I am appalled. For some reason, the Bushie leaders did not want to move quickly to help New Orleans despite the dire predictions. Probably because 65% of the city are black and poor. Probably because they weren't prepared and we enjoying their plush vacations. When you are a leader of a people, your responsibility is to care for those people, not to feel entitled to slack off just because it's August and you're rich. If Bush and Cheney do not want to lead, then they should resign and let real caring leaders take over. If I were president I would be willing to work 365 days a year. Bush has taken 352 days of vacation since 2000. Amazing laziness.
