I am sure that many will call this nitpicking, but that extra day cost some people their lives and many people an untold amount of suffering.

Whatever we end up with in death and destruction, it will be minor compared to a third world country in the same situation.

However, after the third day, it is stunning how many places have received zero food and water. It isnt just New Orleans. The reports out of Slidell and Biloxi didnt paint a particularly good picture either

Remember that I-10/12 is the major East-West corridor through the Gulf Coast. And it was destroyed. Relief isn't going to simply materialize out of a Star-Trek transporter.
