Bush cut requested levee funding by more than 80% in order to steer funds to Iraq. That's just a fact. Whether it would have made all the difference we don't know but it was done. Bush also sent 45% of the Louisiana and Mississippi Guard to Iraq. Plus much of the heavy equipment needed this week, including Halliburton's. Worse, after three days, the federal response is only now beginning in earnest. The slacking started at the top. Bush stayed on vacation until a day after the hurricane. He made a speech the day after Katrina comparing himself to FDR and BS'ing the troops about Iraq. So we lost two crucial days at least. That means all Bushies should all be relieved of duty for gross negligence. The Iraq War is a huge problem and the biggest most dishonest mistake since Vietnam. You people are responsible for supporting the lies Bush told and are now indirectly responsible for hundreds if not thousands of American deaths this week. Repent, sinner. As you watch the footage of the desperate dying people on the Gulf coast remember, you contributed to the misery and many of you still don't care. All we heard on Tuesday was you bastards pretending global warming didn't exist to help the polluters. And then attacking the "looters", most of whom are just trying to find food and drink to survive. While your gas gouging buddies loot the world of hundreds of billions. The rest of the anarchy you must share responsibility for as well because the federal response was late and inadequate. Just disgraceful. I am really ashamed of our government. You should be too. We have poor leaders who think only of themselves. They must go, and if they don't resign voluntarily, they must be impeached and even indicted.
