It's a hell of a thing to say but but today's best news program dealing with "Katrina" was NPR's TV hour.

Things are getting better in New Orleans and elsewhere.

I am posting stuff from both sides. But I think the worst of the refugee crisis will be over by Monday. It will take until at least then to clean out the Superdome and surroundings.

Before the hurricane, I heard that lumber prices had dropped 30% from their peak (about) and people were saying the housing boom was over. I think it just restarted.
