<The Fire Marshall said they have hit their limit.....and he will not allow any more people in there. A picture of the inside of the dome confirms that fact. The floor is completely covered by cots. Why did no one know that the capacity was only 5K and not 24K? I am stunned at this development.>

If your question is why didn't FEMA know, then I have no answer.

But as early as 11am yesterday the CNN reporter from Houston was saying he could only count 2 or 3 thousand cots on the floor. And with that number it was jam packed. So he had no idea how the Astrodome was going to be able to house 30k or 50k or whatever delusion FEMA had dreamed.

Yes, I know. It didn't make sense at all. I thought maybe there were other areas of the Astrodome not visible. Someone who lives in Houston says the governnor got it wrong and misinformed FEMA.

This is just a complete clown show. And the only message I get is that our government is completely unprepared to deal with anything remotely related to homeland security and its aftermath.

Truly. I have been in a catastrophic disaster. As victims, you are desperate and totally dependent on what outside people do. To have these kind of big mistakes happening is very hard on the victims of this hurricane. Its a travesty.

Chertoff and Brown need to be fired immediately. They're both empty suits. Maybe Rudy Giuliani is tanned, rested and ready for a new challenge?
