The crude & unleaded futures were my only & immediate concern when I saw that news and opened those trades, there was no need to ponder a thing.

When things are not so busy, that is when I do the cogitation and think about connecting the dots.

Now today, we have the crude/unleaded futures down, but they are not having the same effect on the indexes that they did the other day. The market was ripe for the EPA news, needed a push, whether it mattered down the road or not.

To clarify, I wasn't trading the energies, I was trading the indexes, using the energies as a pivot signal.
