I think jesse jackson has it backwards and is only trying to force a square block into a round hole... jackson has been a racist from the beginning and he's just another huckster opportunist trying to incite racial division... in other words, BS... I truly believe it has all to do with the poor management of the New Orleans Mayor and the State Governor, they've done absolutely nothing and clearly were not prepared to do anything under any circumstances... I'm immediately reminded that when hurricane Andrew ran through here in 1992, the devastation was just as bad, many cities and small towns were completely blown off the map, people who lived in their neighborhoods all their lives couldn't even find their street, everything was leveled to the ground for as far as the eye can see... yes, there was looting and there were more than one million homeless residents, but order was restored almost immediately, the National Guard came in and tent cities were built, and everyone had shelter and ample food... there was none of what I see now, i.e., raping, murder, and extended looting... jackson is a damn fool and a liar for making such claims, the real fault rests with the lack of city and State leadership... during Andrew, we had leadership and the State stepped in immediately, there were no bodies lying in the street as we see in New Orleans today... also, no one set fires as it appears they are doing today in New Orleans... I could go on, I went through Andrew, most everyone was civil despite frequent price gauging, but there was order... what I see in New Orleans today is a disgrace upon the community leadership, no one else is responsible... for a city that is already below sea level in the first place and right in hurricane alley, it is beyond belief that the leadership in that city and State were not more prepared for this...

The hurricane itself was the first storm, but the looting, rape, murder, homelessness, dispair, and the entire human tragedy is the second storm, and I suspect it will take many years before the people in that area could recover from the second storm, it may take a life time...

Oh please, don't perpetuate the myth that these people had no choice in the matter.

Vietnamese boat people came into this country with NOTHING 30 years ago, and now they own many of the convenience stores I've been in.

Jesse Jackson is a racist opportunist, nothing more.

"Many black people feel... their voting patterns have been a factor in the response,"

Maybe they should have voted for him, eh?

Jesse Jackson is a RACE-PIMP, a RACE-BAITER, an extortionist, a demagogue, and a depraved individual personally.

So the "news" media presents him to us as the arbiter of MORALITY.

IT DOESN'T MATTER how depraved he is, or how exposed his personal depravity is.

The "news" media will keep presenting him as the "arbiter of morality" until he drops dead.

The State of Alaska just recently received $400 million from Congress to build a bridge going from nowhere to nowhere, and the bridge is being named after the State Representative who introduced the Bill to Congress... the point is this: Who represents Louisiana? Doesn't Louisiana have State Representatives? Where are they? How come they didn't ask for Federal money to reinforce the levees weeks and months and years ago? Where is the State leadership? Where is the Governor and the Mayor? With the city below sea level in the first place, how come the Mayor didn't have an evacuation plan? How come the police didn't know what to do? Why didn't the New Orleans Police have police boats? But, of course, Bush is always to fault no matter who is responsible at any level, if a dog escapes from the pound, it's Bush's fault... these demohacks have now sunk to a new low in their hate America campaign, and the American people will not forget it...
