I'm glad to say I think SUVs and especially Hummers are going to start to be out of style. You can already see it on ebay motors, lots of sales of SUVs for cheap prices. I realize Detroit sold a ton of SUVs last month but that was a special situation.

Like me, I have needed a new car for a while, I have a mid-90s BMW 5-series and I was looking at another one or some luxury model (because I am in management and have to drive people around sometimes) but now I am thinking about a Prius. This same thing happened in the 70s, people bought fuel efficient vehicles and they were "in". Lots of new hybrids are coming too.

I knew Detroit was going to hell in a handbasket last year when they didn't have a single innovative fuel efficient car in the lineup, not one.
