If a judge is assessing testimony the person is usually before them. Any attorney will tell you the body language of someone testifying is very important. On top of that, triers of fact frequently make horribly wrong judgments. People make mistakes- constantly, and often make them about the credibility of other people.

You can choose to believe this does not happen, or that you do not make such mistakes. I do not know you, and so I have no opinion on you- but I know that people in general are often terrible judges of veracity. I doubt you are an exception, because I have no reason to think you are, but since I don't know you, you could be.
