so, all morning have been in contact with the hotel corporate office that Dad was staying at - I beseeched, I threatened, I spoke from the heart - the VP promised to get back to me with or without news

just taking this action and given me some strength today


sherry....you are doing the intelligent thing....we have to keep thinking in terms of what alternative means we can muster to get word....we need to put our heads together

i don't know whether you saw or not, but i saw last night on msnbc a reporter with a large group of people who had been evacuated....(i think they were in baton rouge) but the reporter was letting individuals speak to the camera, identify themselves, and let their families know they were ok...

i only tell you this because i think there are huge numbers that are probably safe, but still incommunicado

the people looked tired, but healthy and some were even smiling
