BCB, There is just plain no excuse that military choppers and private companies choppers were not mobilized immediately to deliver food and water to any where they could. Building tops, parking lots, and dry roads, bridges etc. This 4-5 day delay is shameful and shows the weakness of FEMA and that fact that each state should have most of their National Guard here on duty and not Iraq. If we have same so many troops why are a lot of the personnel in Iraq the guard instead of regular army and why are their duties time lengths being stretched? We have gutted our internal security starting with CLINTON and BUSH and boyz have continued. It is a national shame shared by both parties but exacerbated by the poor planning in Iraq. Tom

Irrespective of troop power and Waldo running his mouth... the lag in relief is an utter travesty for the most powerful nation on earth... This is what one would expect of Bangladesh... heads should roll right to the top... Bush should have been there kicking ass day one... Americans should be ashamed of all their leaders including the commander in chief and asking many questions and demanding real answers.... Homeland security ? Right now looks like an oxymoron... Homeland Security has just revealed its ineffectiveness to the terrorist world...
