I hate to say it......and I don't mean to dis your chancellor.....but this is one of the best suggestions he's made in quite awhile. I myself have been critical of many decisions of Schröder over the years but I also support a partial reserve release. Katrina has caused an exceptional disaster and I am glad that Schröder helps to reduce the impact on the world economy. Have you seen fuel prices rise where you are? Definitely, a jump from about 1.20 €/liter to beyond 1.40 €/liter, an all-time high, about $6.70/gallon (using $1.25 USD/EUR and 3.785 liter/fluid gallon).
