I saw that. And I agree the media has done a good job... without their pleadings for help for the victims it might have been more days before relief arrived.

The general in charge of the relief efforts that are now, finally taking place was just on a telephone interview on TV. Sounded like a straight shooter, a get it done guy. Thank God. He is from Louisiana, btw.

First time I felt a bit proud... I think things will move forward from here as best they can.

Whoops, just heard that there are two tankers leaking oil into the Mississippi, downstream from NO. Just when you think it can't get worse.
