American Eagle looks to buy back additional 2.1M shares

Teen clothing retailer American Eagle Outfitters Inc. said Tuesday it would buy back an additional 2.1 million shares, bringing to 3.5 million the number of shares it is seeking to repurchase.
As of midday, shares of the Warrendale, Pa. retailer (NASDAQ:AEOS - News) were trading at $26.

American Eagle Outfitters, which makes casual clothing primarily for the 15-25 set, currently operates 784 AE stores in 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and 71 AE stores in Canada.
