The government, since it's obvious that you don't understand social organization, is US. It's not an entity outside of US. We support it, we shape it, we vote for it, WE PAY FOR IT. Therefore, it is OUR RIGHT to demand that it work for us when we need it. Therefore, it is OUR DUTY to criticize it when it fails as it has so visibly this week. You simply do not like taking responsibility. You simply do not like YOUR SIDE taking any responsibility for gross negligence, theft, greed and incompetence. You want to blame the victim of a natural disaster for being too stupid as to locate in a flood plain. Gee. Tell the people in SoCal to move out of fire-ravaged hills. Tell the people in LA to move out of earthquake country. Tell the people in Texas to move out of drought prone areas. Tell the people in Las Vegas to move out of 110 degree heatwaves. You aren't a democrat. You support the most intrusive, largest and most expensive federal government in history. Do you read? Do you comprehend? You are depraved. You're just like Hastert who wants to leave New Orleans to the elements. You're just like Bush who is upset about cutting his vacation short by a couple of days. You're just like Condie who took in a show and went shoe shopping instead of coordinating aid and relief from foreign governments. You're just like Limbaugh who couldn't lick his drug habit for 8 years without rehab but blames poor blacks for not having cars, gas, hotel money and resources to get out of town. You're terribly depraved but you simply can't admit it. So now you're saying that the NATIONAL GUARD, the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT relies on the local Chevron station for a fill up before it can mobilize?

I think we'd have seen Bill Clinton wading around New Orleans the day after Katrina. His motives would have been impure, but he'd have BEEN there. The FEMA he and Witt built and the chimp destroyed would have been ON THE CASE with the 36 hour notice that the storm would hit New Orleans. Today, the chimp flew OVER New Orleans in the Marine One Helicopter, then back to the airport where AF1 was waiting to get him the hell out of there. Really inspiring leadership.
