I don't know and I don't think it matters. When statements like that are made as statements of fact in the face of all evidence to the contrary, what the Sunday morning pundits say won't change the conversation.

The political hacks can play their partisan games and go ahead fiddling while Rome burns, for all I care, but we're talking about our country, our way of life, our values, and we have supposedly sane people watched by millions saying that the government of the United States of America is intentionally allowing people to die because they are poor and black. Does this not strike you as well beyond the pale of reasoned discourse?

At this time, such comments are perilously close to shouting "FIRE!" in a crowded theater with very predictable results.

If the Republicans and Democrats can stop playing their g** damned games of "gotcha" and "Its not my fault" long enough to actually serve their nation and actually govern and provide real leadership for once, it would be a pleasant change.

Otherwise, be prepared to hear "FIRE" a lot and please do think of Lou Dobbs as the flames spread around the country.
